Everyone is welcome

walking into a jiu jitsu gym can be intimidating, especially if you’ve never practiced martial arts before. all of the instructors and students will do their best to make you feel at home. Our academy is an ego-free, learning environment. creating relationships and community is what we love, jiu jitsu is how we do it.

our facility is clean

We take hygiene and safety seriously. Our mats and locker rooms are cleaned daily and our students and instructors wear clean uniforms at all times.

classes are structured to help you learn

Each class follows a similar structure: Warmup, technique practice, then live training.

  1. warmup— We do a fast-paced warmup to ensure we’re ready to move. The warmup reinforces jiu jitsu techniques and develops a basic level of conditioning.

  2. technique— each day we practice a specific movement. these vary from basic to more advanced. some days are designed for review. We focus on drilling and repetition so the movements come naturally during sparring.

  3. Live sparring— sparring after the technique of the day is not mandatory. This is a chance to try out your techniques against an opponent at whatever intensity you choose.

what to wear

We require all of our students to wear a rashguard underneath. No shoes or socks are worn during training. A gi is not required during your free trial— until you purchase your uniform wear athletic apparel. You can click here to shop for a gi/rashguard.
